**My fabulous, lovely clients. I wanted to let you all know that from here on out, I absolutely will not put your session on my calendar without a deposit. I make it super easy to do, you can pay by credit card, paypal or check! I have been stood up too many times and when an appointment gets canceled often I don’t have enough time to fill the space. I absolutely understand that sometimes things really do happen, but I also need people to understand that my time is just as valuable as theirs. Thanks so much, and I love you all! This doesn’t mean that if you have to reschedule you will lose your session deposit. I have found that those clients who pay the deposit are more likely to actually follow through with their session and not just book me on a whim!**
I have spent a lot of time over the last few weeks and months reviewing my price structure, past sessions, client feedback and a multitude of other aspects. Answering questions like What do I want to provide, What can I provide, What do my clients want, What do I need to bring in.
I have nailed down the type of session and ultimately experience I want for my clients. I want my clients to feel beautiful, to be pampered. Have a day that’s just for them. Get their hair and make-up done. And most importantly, I don’t want them to feel beautiful for just one day, but see how truly beautiful they are every day.
From the very first boudoir session I photographed, it was like I could see this…transformation! She finally could see what her husband saw when he tells her how beautiful she is. Or perhaps it was the gorgeous client who came to see me after a nasty break-up. She didn’t need anyone telling her she was gorgeous, but some days, when it was harder to believe then others, she would have this amazing album to remind herself.
Anyway, all this rambling to explain a little bit behind why I’ve decided to change my packages and pricing, starting January 1, 2013. It is so,so, so important that you have the right look down for your session. All packages will now include hair and makeup (and false eyelashes). This aspect of the styling is just too important to be left out!
Occasionally (like maybe around holidays) I might offer packages without the hair and makeup, but, I’m haven’t decided yet!
